Our Guying Services

Guying is a specialized technique that consists in installing cables at the level of the trunk and branches showing signs of structural weakness. Depending on the needs, different types of guying can be put into place for the safest and most lasting solution.

Static guying

Static guying is often used for mature trees that have finished growing, and is aimed at stabilizing the tree completely with the use of steel cables, thus limiting any movement that could worsen its flaws.

Dynamic guying

In contrast, dynamic guying is designed for trees that are younger or still growing. Nylon cables are put into place to offer flexible support, allowing for some movement of the tree while strengthening its structure naturally. These cables can be adjusted to the tree’s evolution throughout the years while also preventing the trunk’s deterioration.
By solidifying the more vulnerable parts of the tree, guying contributes to prolonging the life of more fragile trees along with reducing the risks of breakage caused by storms or the weight of the branches. This is an efficient preventive measure that ensures both the safety and the health of your trees.
